It’s official – Maple Grove is awesome! A new study conducted by 24/7 Wall St., ranks Maple Grove as the 24th most livable city in a list of the 50 best cities in the U.S. to live in. The study utilized more than 3 dozen socioeconomic measures .
According to the study, Maple Grove’s median home value is $284,200 and we have an extremely low poverty rate of two percent. About 54% of residents have at least a bachelor’s degree. Maple Grove is also one of the safest places to live in the country. There were 63 violent crimes reported per 100,000 Maple Grove residents in 2016, far fewer than 386 incidents reported per 100,000 Americans nationwide.
The study also notes that Maple Grove is home to numerous amenities. There are twice as many fitness and recreational sports centers and movie theaters per 100,000 residents compared to the national average.
Other Minnesota cities on the “most livable” list were Woodbury at #20 and Eagan at #28.
