We love New Year’s Eve because it’s a great opportunity to party with friends, celebrate the past year and get excited about the upcoming year. (Plus one of our New Year’s resolutions this year was to start this blog and it’s still going!)
It’s never too early to start planning your New Year’s celebration. Here are some ideas from our neck of the woods:
Out on the town
The Black and White Ball: NYE 2017 at The Hyatt Regency
2018: The Party (Flip Phone New Year’s Eve) at First Avenue & 7th St Entry
Countdown MPLS NYE at Minneapolis Club Event Center
New Year’s Eve Party Hosted By City of Maple Grove: Maple Grove Community Center
New Years Eve 2017 Crystal Ball At International Market Square, featuring a tribute to Prince
If you prefer to stay close to home, here are the two top TV specials:
“New Year’s Eve Live” With Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen
Why?: Anderson Cooper will host CNN’s countdown with “Watch What Happens Live’s” Andy Cohen. They are best friends in real life and it should be super funny.
“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2018” Hosted by Ryan Seacrest
Why?: Remember last year’s infamous Mariah Carey mic incident? This one has a history of being a good party to tune in to. And even if there aren’t any celebrity snafus, you can count on views of Times Square packed with people and great musical performances.
